CiF attends GCP Annual Meeting

The Greater Cleveland Partnership held its Annual Meeting this past week in the ballroom of Cleveland’s new Downtown Convention Center. With a packed house and dramatic accompanying videos, several speakers - including GCP CEO Mr. Joe Roman, KeyCorp CEO Ms. Beth Mooney, and the Governor of Ohio Mr. John Kasich – highlighted regional economic successes that GCP has been a part of over the past 10 years.

Created in 2004, the Greater Cleveland Partnership has been Cleveland’s Chamber of Commerce with a mission to invigorate Northeast Ohio’s regional economy. Now, ten years later, there is more than $18 billion in public and private sector capital investment that was either recently completed or currently underway.

Throughout the meeting, catalytic development projects – such as the Flats East Bank and the Euclid Health Line – were emphasized , as well as future plans to further develop and connect the lakefront with Cleveland’s downtown core.

The meeting was attended by more than 700 local business leaders, community members, and public officials and featured an address by keynote speaker Ohio Governor Mr. John Kasich.
